Eisenstadt, the capital of the Burgenland, is not far from the holiday town of Moerbisch. Several museums are worth a visit here:

Burgenland state gallery: 5 to 6 changing exhibitions each year covering all areas of the contemporary visual arts.
Burgenland state museum: the archaeology, ethnography and natural history of the Burgenland over 3 floors.
Wine museum in EsterházyCastle in the 330 year old castle wine cellar. Particularly worth seeing are the 'Fuerstenfaesser' with images of the titular saints of the Count’s family.
